Administrators can select what they would like displayed on an asset card for each individual asset type.
For example, you can choose to only pin the header and the description to an asset card for the Power BI Report asset type, and all Power BI Reports will display only the header and description on their asset cards. Other asset types will display with a default layout unless they have also been modified.
Layout Option | Description |
---|---|
Header | If you pin the header, the title of the asset and its asset type will display on the asset card. |
Usage | Usage will display asset interactions in the form of a graph. |
Description | The description of each asset will display. |
Tags | All tags will display on the asset card. |
Experts | All assigned experts will be displayed on the asset card. |
Terms and Termsets (Metadata) | This will be populated based on the termsets of the asset type, and the metadata attached to assets. |
Custom Attributes | You can pin individual custom attributes to a card (you don’t have to pin all custom attributes at once and can select which custom attributes you would like to pin). This is populated based on the custom attribute types of the asset type. |
Click on an asset type on the Manage Asset Types page.
For this example, I will be editing the card layout of Power BI Reports.
Add something to an asset card by using the ‘+’ beside each available layout option on the right and it will display in the card layout on the left.
You can then change the order of items, and add or remove them from an asset card.
Change the order of items using the arrows that appear when hovering over what you would like to move as shown below. You can also drag and drop a layout option.
You can also select all available layout options using the Select All button at the top right.
