Tenant Management

What is a Tenant?

A tenant is an instance of Loome Assist. Each tenant spins up a database in Azure.

In order to start using Loome Assist, an administrator needs to create a tenant, and then invite your employees/users to join your tenant.

A user can be a member of many tenants. If you are a member of more than one tenant, the tenants themselves do not connect and are isolated from one another. All Loome Assist related data resources are not shared across different tenants.

To vary the level of access each user receives in a tenant, please view our Application Roles.

First Time Users

Open https://assist.loomesoftware.com in your browser. You will be prompted to sign in with a Microsoft work account.

  • If you have been added to a tenant, you can log in and start using Loome.
  • If you have not been invited to a tenant, you will be redirected to the organization registration screen. Please contact your Loome administrator if you believe you should have access to a tenant.

If you wanted to use an existing tenant, an administrator from that tenant will need to invite you.

Existing Users

If you are already a member of one or multiple tenants, you will be directed to your last accessed tenant on login. To view a new tenant, you can choose it from the top-right menu.

If you are a member of multiple tenants, you can switch between tenants by selecting your chosen tenant from the dropdown menu in the top-right corner of the screen.

Add a New Tenant

As a Loome organization administrator, you can create a new tenant while managing your organization. This new tenant will be a part of your organization, and will start as a 60 day free trial. Contact us to learn more about pricing.

(If you choose to instead create a new organization, you will need to provide your organization details. The organization will be created with the email account you are currently logged in with. Learn more here.)

To create a new tenant, you will need to provide its name. This will be used to identify your tenant and will be seen by all users invited to this tenant. The tenant name must be alphanumeric and a maximum of 25 characters and a minimum of 3. It may also contain brackets.

Tenant names cannot currently be changed in Loome Assist and can only be changed by an administrator in organization management.

The tenant creation process can take a few minutes, and after the tenant has been created you will be logged in.

If you have added an additional tenant, you can access this tenant from the top-right menu once it is created.
