A tenant is an instance of Loome Integrate Online. Each tenant spins up a database in Azure.
When you sign up to Loome, you will create a tenant and you can then invite your employees/users to join your tenant. When managing your tenant, you can assign User Roles and this will vary the level of access each user receives.
If you choose to have more than one tenant, the tenants themselves do not connect and are isolated from one another, so all Loome Integrate related data such as Projects, Jobs, Tasks and Connections are not shared across different tenants.
You may wish to install multiple tenants if you are planning to create Development, Test and Production environments.
But as you can split your jobs into as many separate projects as you need, there are currently few scenarios that will require you to have more than one tenant. You can even set project-specific user roles, giving you the ability to display projects only to your chosen audience (users or groups).
If you are running tasks across different machines and operating systems, it is advisable to install additional agents on the required hosts, instead of an additional tenant. If you have different data workloads/technologies, you can rely on Loome Integrate’s wide range of Data Connection types instead of additional tenants for different workloads.
Users can be invited to multiple tenants, and if you are a member of multiple tenants, switching between the two is as simple as selecting the desired tenant name from the dropdown menu in the top-right corner of the screen.
To use a different tenant, an administrator will need to invite you to their tenant.
They can add you to an application role in their tenant and you will receive an invitation.
