On the Navigation metadata page, you can view navigation lists, modify the order they appear, and set a navigation list as the default.
To create navigation metadata, you will first have to create a List as an Attribute and enable it for navigation.
Go to Metadata in the side menu.
Then go to Attributes and click on Add New Attribute at the top-right of the page.
Choose List as the ‘Type’.
Then choose Yes for ‘Enable navigation?*‘.
Provide your navigation terms as the List Options.
Type in the navigation term and then click Add.
Choose Applicable Entity Types* from the list by selecting its checkbox beside it.
You can select all by clicking on the checkbox at the start of the list. This will choose which assets will have the navigation metadata applicable to it.
Then choose whether this will be a required selection for all assets it applies to by choosing Yes or No.
Save the list and it will now be available as a navigation option.
When viewing the catalogue, the navigation metadata will be in the secondary left-hand menu.
The navigation terms will be displayed. You can view the assets in each navigation area.
You can also choose another navigation set using the dropdown at the top of the menu.
You can set what will be used as the default navigation metadata on the ‘Navigation’ page.
Click on Edit at the top-right of the page.
Choose the navigation list that will be the default and click on the tick on the right in the ‘Actions’ column.
This will set the navigation list as default. It will be the navigation list set when first viewing the catalogue.
You can modify the order of the navigation lists in the navigation dropdown in the catalogue.
Select the checkboxes on the left of its row.
Click and hold to drag using the icon beside it to change the order in the dropdown.
