Invalid Imported Decimal Values

What Happened?

Issue:

When uploading an Excel file to a Loome Monitor Rule, an error was received about the output field. It indicated that there was an error with the source data that related to the scale and precision.

Impact:

One or more rows were not loaded into the Monitor rule.

Error:

‘Invalid value entered. Decimal must have a scale of 2 and precision of 12. Check Column : “Column Name”’

Root Cause:

One or more rows contained a value with a precision or scale that was not supported by the Loome Monitor rule.

How Can We Fix the Issue?

Resolution

Validate your source data and ensure that it doesn’t contain a precision and scale greater than what is supported in Monitor. We may change this behavior in a future update to provide a more user-friendly outcome.
